Consultant will oversee administration, planning and quality monitoring of luxury hotel fit-out at top of tower

Consultant Sweett Group has been appointed to oversee the fit-out of the Shangri-La hotel at The Shard in London.

The five star 202-room hotel will be the first new build five star hotel in central London in over a decade.

Sweett Group will handle administration, planning, risk management and quality monitoring on the project.

Dean Webster, Sweett Group’s chief executive, said: “Having already delivered a number of projects for Shangri-La in China, today’s announcement is a testament to the group’s global expertise and capability in servicing global clients across our network of offices.”

Work on the project will start this month and take 14 months to complete.
