Balfour Beatty has won a £12m contract to renovate the 1960s William Robertson building at the University of Edinburgh.
The refurbishment of the lecture hall building will be Balfour Beatty’s 22nd job for the university.
The contractor will refurbish the four-storey Grade B-listed building and construct a new storey at rooftop level to be used as a project room.
The Page & Park-designed project is due to be completed by Spring 2014.
