Twelve specialists chosen to help deliver government’s drive to build more standardised public buildings
A dozen modular building specialists have won places on a £200m four-year framework to deliver prefabricated construction work across public sector projects.
Portakabin and Modular UK are among the winners who will help deliver the government’s drive to build more standardised public buildings.
The contractors will supply modules across all public sector projects, including hospitals, schools and offices.
Simon Ambler, director of Portakabin subsidiary Yorkon, said: “We are very pleased to have been successful and to be appointed on the framework.
“The framework gives our customers in the public sector an alternative method of procurement that will substantially reduce procurement time and deliver significant cost savings.”
The framework winners in full are:
19 March 2013
8 March 2012
15 February 2012
27 January 2012

Please provide details of who procured the Framework and a link to the website, thanks
Quality comes at a price. Lets hope price and programme do not affect quality.
Where have you been for the last 20 years, Gabriel? Modular/Offsite construction delivers quality and programme benefits as a matter of course, that's why it's been selected!!
