Capita Symonds unveils perspex ‘BIM school’

Consultant releases images of distinctive school in Blackburn

Capita Symonds has unveiled images of a distinctive £7.5m school clad in multi-coloured perspex panels.

The consultant – which provided a range of services on the job including design, structural engineering and cost consultancy – claims it designed the school in just eight weeks in summer 2010 using BIM.

St Silas Primary School in Blackburn was procured by Darwen Borough Council and was constructed by Balfour Beatty.
