Engineering giant has been offering BIM services in Australia for 12 months

Arup is to launch a dedicated BIM service in the UK.

The consultant engineer has been offering BIM services in Australia for a year. Its UK equivalent will be headed up by director Michael Beaven.

The government’s drive to make Level 2 BIM compulsory on all public sector projects by 2016 is driving an increasing number of construction firms to offer BIM services.

Last month Autodesk announced that it was investing in Frank Gehry’s technology firm to create a BIM arm.
